Mid Week Announcements

1)  If your child is planning on going on the New York trip next Spring, the next fundraiser is ready to go.  Yankee Candle forms will be available during class today.  In order for the products to be delivered by Christmas Break they will need to be turned back in by November 5th.  100% of the profit will go toward the student's account for the NY Trip.  Profits vary depending on the item but usually range from 40-45% of the cost of the item. 

2)  This Friday the band will only be performing pep songs due to the long travel time to Covington.  It's much the same situation as McNairy a few weeks back.  The students will be wearing Khaki bottoms and their Band shirts or Sections shirts just like earlier in the season.  Also keep in mind the weather is supposed to be in the high 40s/low 50s during the game so a jacket or a Band Sweatshirt/Hoodie is encouraged to keep warm.  In a couple of weeks, we will do the same thing for the Bolivar game.

3)  This Saturday is the Gibson County competition.  If there are any changes in plans due to a slight chance of rain, I will let you know ASAP.  But in the past, we have kept the same schedule no matter what and made decisions about performance once we have arrived at the event.  Also, for more information about concessions, admission price, and other things about the contest, you can go here: https://sites.google.com/site/gchsmarchingpioneers/Home/gchs-marching-invitational
