Announcements 5/20/13

1. I will be updating the email list over the next week.  Please get your information forms in ASAP so that I can have updated information.  EVERYONE needs to turn in this sheet, even if you already did one last year.  (If you will not have a child in band next year but still want your name on the email list, let me know)

2.  Our first rehearsal of the summer is June 5 and then every Wednesday in June.

3. It's never too early to pay the Marching Band fees!  I am already ordering uniforms, instruments, flags, gloves, etc. for next year.  The fees are the same as they have been. These fees cover the previously mentioned costs as well as the Camp T-shirt, paying for the camp staff, the Drill, etc.  $150 for Band members and Drum Majors.  $175 for Percussion (the extra cost is to buy sticks and mallets.  $200 for Guard (the extra cost is for Uniforms and flag bags)

This week (May 13-17)

Here is a rundown of this week's activities:

Monday - Drumline tryouts from 6:30 to 8:30.  Will K. will be there to help with this.
Monday - Drum Major Clinic from 3:30 - 4:30.  Remember the $10 fee.
Tuesday - Leadership Applications are due
Tuesday - Final Rehearsal with the 8th graders at 6:30 pm in the Band room.  We will be looking at the field show music and starting some marching fundamentals
Wednesday - Friday - Leadership Interviews during class.
Thursday - Drum Major Auditions from 3:30 - 4:30.
Thursday - Baccalaureate service at 7 pm at First United Methodist - Medina for those who signed up to play at this.  Report time TBD.  Concert Attire.
Friday - Graduation at 8 pm.  Report time 7 pm.  Concert Attire.

We are marching

The Strawberry Festival Parade is starting at 10:30 and we are definitely marching in it.  We will be leaving the school at 10.

We are marching in the Teapot parade.  It's cold.  Wear something warm.
