Announcements 2/25/18

1)  Jazz Band will rehearse on Tuesday from 3:30 to 4:30.

2)  Students going to Solo and Ensemble will need to be at Northside High School in Jackson this Saturday.  Our allotted time is between 8:50 and 9:30 am.  Get there a few minutes early to warm up and find your room you will playing in.  Dress in Concert Attire since the judge will be able to see you.  After you are done playing, you may leave.

3)  Band Booster meeting this Thursday at 6:30 pm.  

Announcements 2/18/18

1)  Jazz Band will practice on Tuesday.

2)  Our first concert of the season, the Chamber Ensemble Concert, will be this Tuesday at 7 pm.  Percussion will need to report at 5:30 to move the percussion equipment to the Gym.  The rest of the band will need to be in the gym ready to go by 6 pm.  We will rehearse with the UTM Faculty and Mrs. Katz at that time.  Concert attire - no jeans or tennis shoes, conservative dress for ladies.  

3)  The Miss Harmony pageant is this Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.  I will have a sign up sheet for students workers this week.  I will need some ladies to work backstage and a couple of students to dress up and present trophies and crowns at the end of each age group.  Jazz Band will play at this event also.  Report time for the Jazz Band is 9 am wearing all black.  You will be provided lunch.  

Announcements 2/11/18

1)  Jazz Band will rehearse Tuesday.

2)  We will have rehearsal Tuesday night from 6:30 to 8 pm to meet and greet the incoming Freshman class!  Everyone please plan to be there so that they can feel what it's like to play in an awesome-sounding huge band!  

3)  Butter Braids should be delivered this Tuesday.  If anything changes I will let you know.  You will need to get them home by that night so that they do not start thawing out.

4)  We will need to practice this week with focus and purpose.  We will not have school this Friday or next Monday and our Ensemble concert is going to be next Tuesday!  I think we should be okay and so far everyone has been working hard, but we cannot afford to take a mental day off at this point.

5)  Field Commander Auditions for next year's field show will be this Monday and Tuesday after school.  3:30-4:30 on Monday with the auditions happening at 4:30 on Tuesday.
