Announcements 4/28/19

1)  Guard will have rehearsal on Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:00.

2)  Full Band and Guard rehearsal on Thursday from 3:30 to 5:00 rain or shine.

3)  Booster meeting Thursday at 6:30 to get everything ready for the parades, finalize plans for the Band Banquet, and to begin plans for next year.

4)  A full itinerary for Saturday's Teapot Parade will be available on Monday.  Riding the bus is not mandatory.  All we ask is that if you plan on getting yourself to the parade, let Mr. Price know.

Announcements 4/21/19

1)  Jazz Band Concert will be Tuesday night at 7 pm.  Come and enjoy some fun music on a pretty night.  The concert is held in the outdoor concrete area in the middle of the school.  I will have signs set out that will guide you to the place when  you enter through the gym lobby.  Report time for the Jazz Band is 6:30 pm for sound check.  Wear all black.  

2)  Guard will rehearse on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 5 pm.

3)  The Mother/Son Luau is this Friday from 6:30 to 8 in the SGCHS Cafeteria.  I will be posting a flyer for this tomorrow on our Facebook page for every to share.  I have already passed out flyers to the elementary and young middle school students, this flyer should remind them to turn in their forms.  Guard - I need you to sign up to bring snacks and to work at the event on Friday.  This fundraiser goes straight towards your uniforms and flags for the upcoming marching season.  Also, I need some help immediately after school to set everything up - that won't take more than 30 minutes.  Then I need all Guard members there ready to go by 6 pm for the event.

Announcements 4/14/19

1)  The Spring Concert is this Tuesday at 7 pm in the Gym.  Admission is free, so invite anyone and everyone!  Percussion need to be at the school at 6:15 to move instruments and the band needs to be in the gym ready to warm up at 6:30.  Concert attire.  No jeans or tennis shoes, please.

2)  The "Changing of the Uniforms" event is Monday at 6:30 pm at the SGC Football Stadium.  Everyone is invited to celebrate the next chapter of the High School and Middle School Band programs.

3)  Jazz Band will go ahead and rehearse Tuesday afternoon.

4)  Guard practice on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 5 pm.

5)  The Band Banquet is scheduled for May 11 in the SGC Cafeteria at 6 pm.  Come for a formal night of reflection and celebration at the reflect back on the year and look forward to the future!  This year, it is $10 per plate for every person attending.  Please sign up and turn in the payment  by May 7.   

Announcements 4/7/19

1)  Jazz Band will rehearse this Tuesday.

2)  Guard will rehearse on Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 to 5 pm.

3)  On Monday, April 15, we will have a "Changing of the Uniforms" Ceremony to present the Middle School Band with our current uniforms as we prepare to use our new uniforms next year.  We would love to have as many parents and students at this event to make this a memorable night for the Middle and High School Bands!
