Announcements 2/24/19

1)  Field Commander clinic and auditions are this Monday and Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:00.  

2)  Jazz Band will not meet this week due to the Field Commander auditions on Tuesday.

3)  Solo and Ensemble is this Saturday morning at Northside High School.  If you signed up for this event, make sure you pay the $10 per event by Wednesday.  I haven't received a schedule yet, but will let you know ASAP when our block of time will be that morning.  You will need to find your way there.  I will be there if you need me, I will just have other obligations throughout the morning at the event.

4)  The Miss Harmony pageant is this Saturday!  We will be setting up on Friday night at 6 pm.  We still need a couple of adults to work the registration and take money at the gate, and might need another female back stage.  I will be asking for a handful of student workers this week to help with all of this, too.  Get the word out so that we have lots of participants this year!

5)  Butter Braid pastry forms were handed out Friday!  These delicious pastries are on sale through March 7 with a delivery date of March 20.  People look forward to these Butter Braids every year, so just get the word out and people will find you!  We want this and the Miss Harmony pageant to do very well this year so that we can look at dressing up our big band trailer with a full digital wrap!

Announcements 2/18/19

1)  Jazz Band will rehearse on Tuesday from 3:30 to 4:30.

2) This Thursday is our big 8th grade rehearsal where the whole High School band is invited.  It is from 6:30 to 8 pm in the band room and there will be time to play some easy music and talk with the future members of the SGCHS Band.  High School students - come meet the incoming freshmen and help give them a taste of what a 100+ member band sounds like!  

Announcements 2/10/19

1)  Jazz Band will meet Tuesday from 3:30 to 4:30.

2)  If you are planning on performing at Solo and Ensemble, make sure you sign up by Monday so that I can get you registered before I leave for All West.  Remember that it is $10 per event.  

3)  Students going to All West this week, we will meet on Monday during Focus Time to make sure everything is in place before we leave.  

Announcements 2/3/19

1)  Unfortunately, we will not be able to have Jazz Band on Tuesday as I have to work the gate at the JV Basketball game.  We will have Jazz Band rehearsal next Tuesday.

2)  Booster meeting this Thursday at 6:30 pm as we plan the rest of the semester and look at the schedule for next Fall!
